Inbound Travel Insurance is only available to non-residents of Australia entering on a temporary basis who are aged under 70 years with no pre-existing medical conditions unless exempt as per the PDS.

It can be purchased prior to arrival, or within 7 days of arrival into Australia provided your trip includes travel within Australia and only covers you for your return to your normal country of residence.

Policies issued more than 7 days after arrival into Australia have a 28 day waiting period from the issue of certificate of Insurance for medically related claims.
